Front Cover

My first version of my front cover was completely wrong, although I used some of the same cover lines, the same masthead, price and barcode I completely changed everything.

I did not like the imagery used, I found it be bland and would not have attracted my target audiences attention.

I felt within myself that I could have created a better front cover and decided to completely redesign it.

Contents Page

My first version of my contents page did not contain the appropraite conventions of a contents page. After feedback and more research I had more inspiration:

I took inspiration from Kerrang!'s contents page. I liked the idea of having two different sections for regulars and features and having imagery around.

DPS

This is my first Double page spread, this version however I made edits too.
First of all the picture was not big enough, feedback suggested the picture should run all the way down the page. This would make the artist stand out more and emphasise the genre of music and attract readers attention.

The text was another issue, although the masthead was fine, feedback suggested it should be made straight which would help the readers to read it clearly. It was suggested that when it was on the slant it would annoy the readers and didn't show normal magazine conventions.

For example:

The text here is all straight and is easily legible.

There was also the issue that my actual context was not following the conventions of a normal magazine article, with this in mind I changed all the text, using the same idea.
